Welcome to the 2011-2012 school year. It is going to be a wonderful school year! It will be filled with

reading, writing, math, science and social studies. You will learn quite a bit and have fun while you learn. I

have planned an exciting year for you.

I would like to tell you a little about myself. I've been teaching for 24 years. This is my eighth year at

H.O.B. Elementary School. I really enjoy teaching young students. I'm married and have three children.

Lindsey is 14 and my twin boy (Jordan) and girl (Jeanae) are 9. This summer I broke a bone in my foot and

was in a cast all summer. It was quite a challenge walking in the cast all summer.  I can't wait to tell you all

about it. Did you take a vacation this summer? I would like to hear about your summer.

Our first reading unit will be about "School Days".  Our first social studies unit will be based on

becoming a good citizen and following school rules.  In science, we will study weather and we will learn to

watch the weather around us.
